The first choice for the largest and most influential clients, and the first choice for the best talent.   About the role A Senior Manager will understand our clients' operations, their industry and the issues they face in order to provide risk and other advisory services. The incumbent will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key clients on a day to day basis with a focus on high quality delivery and developing team capabilities. They will be expected to have advanced knowledge in their service area and industry and to play an active role in business development activities and management of the Risk Advisory practice.   Essential Functions: • Lead and deliver a complex portfolio of clients to involve planning, budgeting, WIP management, management of the team, allocation of resources, reviewing reports and reporting/delivery. • Proactively understand the needs of the client and work with them to develop relevant and valuable solutions and strategies. • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients, as well as, identify and actively pursue new business opportunities. • Be seen as a trusted business advisor to senior client stakeholders, with the ability to project confidence, establish credibility with, and influence clients at all levels. • Have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them to deliver a superior client experience. • Take a lead in developing and implementing existing and new market propositions across a number of industry sectors. • Maintain the ability to adopt a global approach to networking, building eminence, and assembling teams to best serve clients and maximize engagement economics. • Understand clients' business environment and leading risk management approaches to be able to inform and advise the client’s senior leadership members on key risk decisions. • Promote and enforce compliance with mandated professional practices and maintain a comprehensive understanding of leading edge tools and methodologies. • Collaborate with the broader Risk Services and Deloitte team to provide a whole of firm / value added service to our clients. • Demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards. • Understand complex business management and complex information technology management processes. • Identify and evaluate complex business, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for risk management improvement. • Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services. • Employ a structured approach to project management to ensure complete client satisfaction and project profitability. • Be responsible for the development and motivation of the team by providing them with leadership, counseling and career guidance – act as a role model to help them realize their highest potential. • Complete staff appraisals, provide feedback to team members on an ongoing basis and perform performance reviews of team members after engagements, during Mid-year and Year-end reviews. • Achieve expertise in a given industry/service line to enhance reputation in the marketplace. • Drive practice growth and business development (proposal writing, events, public speaking, article writing, targeted marketing initiatives, account plans). • Drive Deloitte’s risk mechanism for client and engagement acceptance. • Play a key role in managing the practice to include budgeting, profitability, strategy, developing capabilities, recruitment, training, competitor analysis and managing quality and risk. • Ensure all mandatory learning and performance management requirements for the function are completed within deadlines. • Meet targeted utilization and sales levels and follow the policies and procedures of the firm. • Support Deloitte CBC Risk Advisory priorities and efforts. • Demonstrate an understanding and the ability to perform at the level required by your Function’s Performance Criteria. This includes the Leadership, core and specialized capabilities under the Global Talent Standards and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). • Additional responsibilities for IT Audit: • Review the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of controls to address the key strategic, operational and financial risks within our clients' business operations. • Work closely with leadership to enhance the client’s audit experience through the use of our technology expertise and analytics to deliver insights. • Ability to design strategies for assurance engagements that optimize business impact. • Additional responsibilities for Cyber Risk: • Perform capability assessment, developing best practice recommendations and implementing technologies and processes. • Conduct research to maintain and expand knowledge on the latest security technologies and standards, as well as the threat and vulnerability landscape. • Work with security vendors to understand their solution offerings and advise clients on appropriate technologies. • Lead the development and delivery of training programs to clients. • Assess and implement security solutions for clients.   Your role as a leader At Deloitte we believe in the importance of leadership at all levels. In addition to living our purpose, Senior Managers across our organization will: • Act as a role model and inspire others to embrace and live our purpose and values. • Actively contribute to building the talent pipeline; create a talent experience that attracts, develops and retains top talent and high performing teams. • Create opportunities to drive impact; anticipate client needs and deliver superior results by leveraging each person’s strengths to build high performing teams across businesses and borders. • Influence clients, teams, and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing confident relationships with increasingly senior people. • Build deep relationships across a diverse network and use a flexible influencing style to gain buy-in and drive impact. • Apply deep knowledge of disruptive trends and competitor activity to drive continuous improvement. • Establish a strong leadership brand and inspire followership through passion, integrity, and appreciation of others.   Minimum Qualifications and Experience: • Strong academics, including a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree: Business/Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or Risk related field is strongly preferred. • Qualified in a minimum of one or more of the following designations: ACCA, CPA, ACA, CA, CISA, CISSP, CIA, CISM, or other relevant professional designations. • 5+ years practical experience working in business or technology risk within a professional services firm or large scale business. • Additional IT Audit qualifications: • Practical experience of working in Technology Risk or Controls within a professional services firm. • Experience of managing large, complex technology, IT internal audit or IT risk management programs for global or regional organizations • Additional CRS qualifications: • Practical experience in cyber fraud, cyber investigations and cyber incident response. • Thorough understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP fundamentals. • Strong understanding of Windows and Unix operating systems and command line tools. • Expertise in cyber security solutions. • Expertise in security protection solutions including SIEMS solutions, Firewall, Web Proxy, Intrusion Detection, Anti-Virus, and Application Whitelisting products. • Solid understanding of threat intelligence analysis and tools. • Certified Ethical Hacker considered an asset.   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to coach, mentor and develop team members. • Experience building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders. • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of client’s business and needs. • Ability to present and sell ideas and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Experience working on large scale projects within any of the following sectors; Public sector, Financial services, Energy & resources or other targeted sectors. • Strong technical abilities in risk related methodologies, combined with strong business acumen. • Ability to review, analyze and resolve most complex technical issues. • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions. • Strong commitment to client service excellence. • Superior oral and written communication skills proven through extensive report/proposal writing experience and excellent presentation skills. • In depth knowledge and experience of relevant compliance and reporting framework and regulatory environment is required. • Experience in performing process and control reviews to highlight potential issues/inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvement. • Excellent client relationship skills and proven track record of business development. • Ability to thrive in an environment of pressing deadlines, manage multiple engagements at the same time and manage change and ambiguity. • Excellent leadership, organizational and time management skills. • Requires a high level of maturity, professionalism, initiative, integrity and confidentiality. • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office: Excel, Work and PowerPoint. • Ability to work well in a culturally diverse team-oriented environment and independently.   About Deloitte Deloitte has a strong presence in the countries of the Caribbean and Bermuda marketplace, with more than 500 professionals dedicated to bringing their talents to bear on clients' unique issues.
